Pilot, Custom Heritage 91, Dark Blue

I have been considering the Pilot Custom Heritage 91 for quite a while, but did not see it in a solid colour from retailers in my area. I was happy to find it here at Knight’s Writing. I introduced myself via email and inquired about my specific shipping requirements. Mr. Graeme Knight, the proprietor, cheerfully accommodated them, and so I ordered the pen in dark blue with a fine nib.
I do not feel a need to simply repeat the many glowing reviews already available for this and other Pilot Custom pens, other than to confirm them. The pen’s aesthetic and ergonomics place it clearly among my personal favourites. As for writing experience, which matters most to me, the nib has the slight flexibility I appreciate in a gold nib. On quality paper, this nib gives me the consistent and pleasant feedback I need for precise control of my strokes in all directions, without being scratchy. The line thickness of this fine nib, paired with a slower-flowing ink (like some J. Herbin, Monteverde and Lamy inks), easily accommodates my tight and small writing on 5mm dot grid paper.
Every pen has its merits and handwriting is a very unique and personal activity. But for my everyday writing and note-taking, this pen combines everything I could hope for. Many thanks to Mr. Graeme Knight for being so attentive, friendly and responsive.
